  1. I have 2 Peugoet Mirages from 1982. Solid build and decent components that have held up nicely. Feel free to PM me. Both bikes are ready to ride.
  2. Thanks guys. I unfortunately drove over mine so wanted to see what theyre going for new... And if they've been upgraded. I managed to get an almost new Bell 4forty On Friday Cheers
  3. Hi, Does anyone know who now sells ETO helmets in Cape Town? The last one I bought was from Sportsworld at Bloemendal but they don't seem to list them anymore. Would appreciate the help.
  4. Hi guys, almost at the end of this conversion, and I’ve hit a speed bump. I have an older x9 SRAM rear hub. The bike shop said I needed a XD driver to work with the 10-42 cassette. I bought one. Now they say the X9 hub and XD DRIVER I bought is compatible, and want to sell me a shimano 11-42 cassette which I don’t really want. How can I get this X9 hub and XD driver to work?
  5. Some feedback. Went to the shop this morning. Explained what I think happened to the owner. He said no problem, I must bring the bike in tomorrow and he will sort it out himself...meaning that whoever Mr Smarty pants was that did this isn’t touching it again.
  6. Thanks. All I changed was the chainring. Direct mount, 6mm offset, Oval, from RAPIDE. I made sure with Wayne that it’s the right one.
  7. Thanks Droo. I’ve been using that BB with a 2x10 GXP crank for almost 4 years with no spacers. Are the spacers needed purely for a 1x chainring? Because that’s all I changed. Everything else besides the DM 6mm offset chainring is as per my old setup.
  8. I’m a happy camper if it’s just this. I’ll go to another bike shop just now and see if they can sort it.
  9. I measured the frame section wear the Bb and crank go...which I’m assuming is the Bb shell, and it’s 68mm. Nou wat nou? Like I said...it’s never had spacers
  10. 3 in total. 2 non drive side 1 drive side
  11. To give more perspective, the only thing that changed was me taking off the 2x10 chain rings and shifter and mech, and replacing it with the single chain ring. All the components I’ve been running as is for close to 4 yrs
  12. The screw is broken clean out the crank arm. I actually didn’t think any spacers were needed.
  13. No it won’t...except now they can tighten that screw more than what it can handle I would imagine. , My understanding was also that no spacers were needed hence why I put it on like that...they then added the spacers by themselves for some reason.
  14. Yes, 3 were put in. 1 on drive side, 2 on non drive side. SRAM x7 10spd shifter RAPIDE 6mm offset chain ring SRAM XO rear derailleur
  15. Removed my 2x chain rings on my SRAM GXP setup. Put on the DM oval chainring from RAPIDE for my groupset with the 6mm offset. Took it to the bike shop to put on all my 11spd goodies and set it up, but apparently short a few things. They then use my old chain and it’s 1x10 for now. Get home, ride for about 100m max, and pedal arm snaps off! And then I see they’ve installed spacers. Does the 6mm offset not negate the need for spacers? They seem to have over tightened the screw on the pedal after putting in 2 spacers on that side..and it’s clean off! Were spacers needed ?
  16. Clean and lubed...That’s it. My mtb is full of scratches due to a lack of talent, and an overzealous nature at times...my mind is incapapable of worrying about scratches because it knows how stupid I am...lol
  17. That little ratchet converter isn’t available from RAPIDE anymore. I see the Nx 11spd shifters also out of stock.
  18. Hi all, I’m in the process of converting my SRAM 2x10 setup to SRAM 1x11. I already have the following : Sram 11 spd 10-42 cassette SRAM 11 spd chain XD free body Current crank is SRAM X9 2x10 GXP. I would like to use the GXP Spider. Shifter is 10spd SRAM X7. Is that little converter thingy still available from RAPIDE to make it 11 spd? RD is SRAM XO, not sure if it’s medium or long Rear Hub is X9, with normal quick release axle. What do I need to finish this conversion besides the obvious front chain ring? Would really appreciate some direction. Cheers
  19. Read somewhere a while back that he often goes into a Pizza place and has 2 large pizzas and if I remember correctly 2 large milkshakes to go with that. His training is super high intensity, so he's burning calories more than any of us on this here thread...
  20. Fast ST section on Bottelary Hills, through a dip, over a bridge and then a quick left hander....except the left hander didnt really take place...tree approaching...decided to put it down...went sliding into the Mr. Tree...used my crank blade to see how strong the bark of the tree was...oh and my wind fell out somewhere in those split seconds...layed there for a bit groaning like a poofter...laughed...got back up....caried on smashing the same ST! lol
  21. Delvera is a good one! Blue and Black route is 18km(R30 for permit which includes a free coffee), but the top section of the Black route is un-ridable in my opinion. Some sick Dh/Enduro lines at Delvera once u get over the top
