I got the red metal 29 XL. Nice wheels. tubeless ready without tape or liners.

Bent a spoke on a fall. wheel was still decently trueish.

They use proprietary spokes. R120 a pop.

Been on a set of Red Power 29XL's for a couple years, 7000 odd km's and not a single issue. Do my own maintenance and keep them cleaned and well looked after. Go for it, try for a deal through Evobikes, they a dream to deal with.

Got a set of Red Metal 5 26" wheels which I picked up for a steal about a year ago. I have clocked just over 2000km on them without any issues. My wheels still use J-bend spokes (bladed), replacing them should not be an issue.

I recently built a 29" MTB and could not find a set of Red Power XL wheels at a decent price so I settled for something cheaper.

As far as I know the servicing is not too cheap, around R700 for a set of bearings (front and back, totaling 6). I have noticed that the bearings on the Disk side is very wide (20mm or so).

Pulled the trigger on a set of red metal zero xrp's...

I see service etc expensive but these are not due to be my everyday wheels.

So should last me a good few years.

Most review seems to be positive.

See the new Meridas comes out with Fulcrums on now
