As Cassie mentioned Prepsol is bio-degradable and probably the best cleaning

product for the environment.

Try washing your really greasy bits with a harder brush and Prepsol 1:1 and the rest of your bike with a softer brush at 1,5:1. Fine spray to remove.

Prepsol can't cause the problem at all, so I think checking the tape and re-seating should do the trick. Only problem I've experienced with Prepsol is holding my Karcher too close and getting it into bearings...

never ever ever use a high pressure cleaner on a bicycle!!!!!!!!

you force dirt, cleaning products, grease, water etc into areas where you should never have any of these.

use a standard hose and take more time, you bike will last alot longer
