Hi guys.

I saw a 2013 GT zaskar 29er elite for sale for R8500. Rock shox recon gold fork. Slx 2x10 front. Xt rear. Formula rx brakes.

Is it a good entry level bike? Or good bike in general?

Is the price okey?

Also it is a meduim frame and I'm 1.83m tall.

Any advice would be great.

Medium is way too small for you. So its a no go

Thought so. What size should I be looking at. Getting mixed info on the web. Found a chart on the giant bikes website that puts me right in between a medium and large. Others say large to extra large. So I figure a large should be okey?

Yup, you should be right about between M and L. XL is very big on some bikes. im 1.93cm and had 2 XL's, one Giant one Silverback, now on a L Silverback and it fits perfectly. Look at M and L frames, go test some bikes and take it from there.

Attie, I am the same height as you and ride a large Zaskar. The medium will be too small.

The Zaskar is an incredible bike, I am on number 3, 2 were 26r's and I am now on a 9r Expert.

One thing to look out for is cracking around the triangle at the seat post, on the carbon frames. Good luck with your search.

Im on a Zaskar Pro. Flippin fantastic bike, stiff and fast. Great value for money bike.

Im about 1.79m I think, and I'm on a Medium.

Also, go check the "Let's see them GT's" thread. Some motivation....hehe
