As dit upfront was dat die entries vir klubs verniet vir > 10 entries, sou ek deur my klub ingeskryf het. Die mail na klubs is vanoggend eers gestuur, so obviously maak hulle nie nie nommers nie, en gee die goed nou verniet weg.

Yes, the club mail only went out yesterday and the day before only. Thats when we  received the data of all the clubs in the province.

 

If any club member from the clubs who enter 10 or more people have already entered and paid, they will receive full refund from the online entry company.

The last race in Pretoria that was supposed to make use of union building was cancelled 2 days prior to the event, due to "security reasons"

 

was about 6 years or so ago

 

Lets hope this is will not be repeated again...

 

What about the Engen Cycle in the City (criterium race)  race hosted a few months ago. It was not cancelled and was a big success.

Don't want to sound negative but i think this one is heading to be a F up of major proportions.  Road closure on a Saturday morning?  The traffic department does not have a lot of experience in road closure events of this size.  Be aware out there, don't just blindly go over robots just because a marshall is standing there.

 

I will rather go ride my Mtb at Rust De WInter

Look this all came from the Sports and Recreation. We are merely trying to help out and hope to make the event a success. The date etc was all cast in concrete. Last year the Unite4Mandela day was a soccer match & rugby match at the same stadium in one day.

 

I would avoid Pretoria on Saturday morning at all costs, because  the town will be majorly disrupted...

Heard the Minister of sport last night on Super cycling said they expect 25000 people. Pretty optimistic i think

 

The running event is going to be rather large... the color run is also there expect 10 000+ participants.

 

He was definitely not referring to the cycling event, entries are over a thousand for that currently.

 

Remember there is also a music concert there with major artists and that is going to be free... so expect MANY people there.

Is it a club that is organizing the event or a event organizer?
