Predictions are 1000 riders (not more than 1500 have been catered for by police or any agencies) & 2000 runners. That's R3333 per participant!  The whole of the Union area is in lock down because JZ is firing the start gun on the runs. There is also a color run happening at the same time and they have been predicted 3500 entrants and not a cent in grants. Classic.

Classic.You're wrong in a couple areas. 1500 cyclists already expecting another 500 late entries tomorrow. Â There is a music concert also taking place with lots of SA'S most popular bands and artists playing till 18:00Â Not sure of runners. Â Not bad if u take into account it's organised in less than 6weeks...with very little marketing. If it was a year notice you could times those figures by 18...

Tayyib Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Went passed the start on my commute to work.and then up into klapperkop to see them cone through. Everything looked well organised and marshals were even stopping cars when i approached and trying to direct me...from the little I saw I'm giving a thumbs up! Great pictures of the leaders and chris froome in klapperkop made it a a good morning.
TALUS Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I had a good morning. Several minutes to cross the start. Not full closure. The only real dicks were white males - the taxis did not cause any problems with our little group. Said hi to two Hubbers : Mikebike on Klapperkop and rode most of the way with Bataleur. Nice to meet guys.I think later today the marshalls will have an impossible job. The traffic is hectic already and many irate drivers are getting frustrated.I am glad I did this once off. My only real tax benefit.
