JXV Posted October 26, 2014 Share If upgrading ur fork then worth it to also upgrade your hub or convert it to thru axle if possible. Better stiffness translates to better steering and feel. Raydek Posted October 26, 2014 Share I has Recon Gold on my bike with QR and the lowers started to 'bend', one would travel a little higher than the other eventually leaving my wheel sitting at a slight angle. Rockshox swopped out the lowers for ones with a Thru axle (apparently those from the Revelation) and goodness what a difference. I can feel muchmore feedback from the front and serious bumpy patches are soaked up far better than what the previous did, but wether thats got more to do with the lowers rather than the axle I'm not sure.
