Well made, I've replaced the elastomers once and the bushes. There was a period of about 2 years when i didn't use it as I had the dually, but is being used again. I've got a 27.2mm post, and use shims to fit it to my bikes seat tube, which are all bigger.

her seat post is 27.2 was wondering if they actuall make them in that size.

Buy cycle have them, which is cool.no waiting.

Why don't you rather look at getting larger rubber, and running lower pressure? That will sort out potential grip issues as well as giving her a far better ride. Even a drop of 2PSI could make a huge difference.

Plus - it's far cheaper than R 2,400.

Something like a set of Hans Dampf at the front & a WTB Wolverine at the rear or similar high volume grippy tires. (HD is a grippy tyre but drags when at the back, Wolverine is a very fast rolling but high volume tire)

Have been thinking about going tubeless for her. Fast rolling wolverines would be my choice. They seem good value for money.

They are. If she's not into technical stuff, the Wolverines would be a good option for front and back. The 2.2's are very high volume - more like 2.5's, but they grip hardpac very nicely, and have reasonable side-knobs if she starts leaning it over a little.

Only reason I don't like them for the front is that on my local trails, when putting them through the corners, they tended to push quite wide - but then I'm a heavy bastard, and I ride pretty technical stuff...

going downhill is tech for her at this point, So no worries there. Which wolverines the vigilante ?

Cool will look into it. Recently built up a pascoe with vigilante tyres and the few rides I've done have found them to have a lot grip.

But she doesn't need that kinda grip or aggressive tread pattern I suppose. It's more so to give her a little bit more of a comfortable ride. She has cheap rubbish tyres on at the mo so can only be an improvement . 2.2 in a 29 wheel ?

get a trashed joplin..

or, take a working joplin like mine and compress the travel, when without pressing the button lift and lower the seat a few times, this should work air into the system giving it almost an inch of play once youve put it back where you want.

then to get rid of the play hold the button down and lift and lower the seat a few times.

works like a charm

Yeah. The 2.2 is really wide. Yiu should be able to find them relatively easily
