Hi guys

I'm getting the new Galaxy Note4 next month and see it has a heart rate monitor. Would it be possible to link this up to Strava and what would I need to get? Or should I just ignore it and go get something like the Garmin 510?

Hi EDF. It's not that type of monitor. To use it you have to keep your finger on the back of the phone. You can howeber link an ant+ belt with the phone and use that. Or pick up a 510 (or 500 cheaper if you don't need online features). Using a 10k phone on a bike is a recipe for disaster. Speaking as some with a note 4 (recommended, it's great) and a 500 (also great). Hope that helps

were just posting on another fred on the same topic. I use my phone with a shock and waterproof cover - I really would like to see the phones develop more to prevent me from using and buying multiple gadgets.

I invested in a decent cover and mostly you want your phone anyway so its less equipment , I really just need the GPS , but you can add things like the HR monitor via ant+

Maybe we will see more power generating devices in future build into the bikes hub

Garmin would be your best option.

I used my Samsung for a while, did not work so well, so i invested in a Garmin 500.
