The best option is the normal Gopro chest strap, but with the mount flipped upside down. If you use it normally the angle is too low. If you flip the mount upside down, and flip the picture in the GoPro menu you end up with a very rewarding angle over the bars - without any vibration.

Isn't there a concern about injury to your ribs if you fall? Same as the concern about injury to your head from the helmet-mounted number. :excl:

Thanks to all who helped. I found the compression setting in VirtualDub and got the file down to 229MB from 36.6 GB so that's a great result. I now understand the basics and must start to fiddle with details to see if I can get a better result. The vid did lose a lot of quality so I suppose one has to choose a priority.
