Garmin and Training Peaks Power

Hi All,

 

I look to the power of the hub for answers on this one.

 

Can anyone tell me why my average power on my Garmin 705 would be different to the numbers that are displayed in Training Peaks.

 

My 705 displays an average of about 10 - 15 watts higher than the average that is shown when downloaded to training peaks.

 

Has anyone experienced this, and can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Your Garmin might be busy excluding the zeros.

Norm power excludes 0 readings and if your Avg and your NP are the same, it means that "Avg" is not really set up as "avg"

Have a look in your settings menu and see if power includes or excludes zeros.  It should include zeros in order to get in to show real avg and then it will differ from Norm Power
