  1. I think important to consider the combined weight of your bike and the bag. I have a Scicon Triathlon bag, and with my speed concept it is touch and go on the weight limits for flights. The ultimate is a bike box, but these are sometimes heave and you end up overweight on flights.
  2. Works perfectly for running. I run with mine all the time, and they are fantastic.
  3. Hi, Not sure of the budget, but Aftershox Aeropex are amazing. Works perfectly with my Garmin Fenix and other items. They bone conduction which means they not in your ear so you can have a conversation and listen for traffic while using them.
  4. Hey guys. So i just bought myself a Saeco auto machine. So far so good. Just wanted to ask what the story with the grinder settings is. At the moment i have it set in the middle of the road, but whats the best way to go (a finer grind or more coarse).
  5. Last test done was 264w on road so X 0.95 gives me 250w FTP. Currently 60kg so that's just over 4w/kg.
  6. The guys from the bike shop in SFB have group rides leaving from the traffic circle by the links. I think they do some good rides, out to Hankey etc.
  7. Does anyone know if you are able to view normalized power on an edge 705 head unit.
  8. Thanks for the info
  9. Im not overly concerned about weight, more the cost. I need to replace cassette and chain on tri-bike (dura-ace) and road bike (105) as well as IDT wheel which is going to be an expensive exercise. If they are compatable, then i think the Tiaga should do fine.
  10. This might be a dumb question, but is there any real difference between a Tiagra 10sp and 105 10sp cassette? Is it worth paying double for a 105 cassette??
  11. If part of your goal is to be a cheat, you on the right path.
  12. Thanks for the info guys. Ya, i really wanted to avoid using the Zipp on the IDT. I have a specific IDT wheel and tyre which i use. I think what i will do is to switch my winter program around so i ride Saturday and Sunday instead of riding saturday and running sunday. Will then have 1 HR based IDT session a week, and 2 power based sessions on weekend. ONce we back in summer, will be back on the road for all of them. Thanks for the advice.
  13. I used to find the same thing with my Polar. HR would sometime shoot up and then stick at 220 or thereabouts. It was the strap that was going faulty,
  14. HI guys, Some advice on the whole powercal / power metre debate please. Im am about to buy a powertap which i will have built into my Zipp wheel for use on my TT and road bike. Now sadly during winter my midweek rides are restricted to the IDT, and i am not too keen on using the Zipp on the IDT (I have a training wheel). My understanding is that the real benefits of training with a PM would be when doing intervals etc. Considering that the majority of my structured training work (intervals, tempo sessions etc) is done during the week, and now on the IDT would it be worthwhile to get a Powercal for use on the IDT and the Powertap on the road?? %2
  15. Agreed. I love the Adamo. Used to get some numbness in the nether regions when using a Fizik Arione. Changed to the Adamo and will never look back. Got one on road and tri too.
