  1. I think important to consider the combined weight of your bike and the bag. I have a Scicon Triathlon bag, and with my speed concept it is touch and go on the weight limits for flights. The ultimate is a bike box, but these are sometimes heave and you end up overweight on flights.
  2. Works perfectly for running. I run with mine all the time, and they are fantastic.
  3. Hi, Not sure of the budget, but Aftershox Aeropex are amazing. Works perfectly with my Garmin Fenix and other items. They bone conduction which means they not in your ear so you can have a conversation and listen for traffic while using them.
  4. I am really jealous, i wish i was riding this year. The floating bridges are really easy, they are well secured and although they move a little when you ride over them they are nothing to stress about. They about 1m wide, so if you cant keep the bike on the bridge then you will have bigger problems over the 3 days. You will probably get a power bank in your goodie bag, but good idea to take spare with you if you have a spare one. You need to charge your phone as well as your garmin/gps unit so you need a good one to last the 2/3 charges. Water points in the past have been properly stocked, so no need to stress there. I don's know what COVID will have done to that though.
  5. Are you connecting via ANT+ or bluetooth? I had a similar problem using ANT+. Apparently you need the ANT+ v2 dongle to be able to maintain the connection properly. I was also told that wifi signals can operate at the same frequency and that can also cause a problem. If you connecting to a 5ghz wifi network, the frequency is apparently different and wont clash.
  6. Great race, and i think suitable for a novice given its a dam swim. Will be cooking, so plan hydration and nutrition properly. Give it hell.
  7. Hey guys, Sorry to jump into the thread, but i have 29er MTB wheel with a cassette and a slick tyre on for indoor training that i want to get rid of. DM me if you interested. Jono
  8. The are a bit suspect. I notices their ad's on Instagram, and tried to find a web site. Could not find anything for them on a Google search.
  9. Hey guys. So i just bought myself a Saeco auto machine. So far so good. Just wanted to ask what the story with the grinder settings is. At the moment i have it set in the middle of the road, but whats the best way to go (a finer grind or more coarse).
  10. No the average clause is generally not applied to an all risk item.
  11. Bike is an all risk item and so should be insured for replacement cost, however you can insure for any amount less than that if the premium is too high. Claim will be settled on the lower of current replacement cost or sum insured. R900 a month for the bike alone is heavy going. If you want to get a comparative quote contact me direct.
  12. Every time a single sock goes missing, it comes back as an odd tupperware lid.
  13. Tough day out there on sunday. I had a superb day which went almost 100% to plan. Goal was 5:10 and a finished on 5:11:05, so i will take that.
  14. Currently riding a Prologo Tgale and loving it. Had a few variations of the Adamo in the past, and also struggled with the Time Trial version being too wide at the nose. I found the PN 1.1 quite nice.
