Hi everyone

 

Did a ride today at BRB and some idiot decided to create a bit more fun by placing think branches inbetween trees at head and handlebar hight.

 

Didnt see the first one. Got a broken finger as a prize.

 

Broke the others down as I rode but there may still be more.

 

Really hope these idiots get caught.

Seems like there is nowhere to ride safely anymore

BRB......also some usual suspects floating around there.......we always go as a group.....maybe bushes for an ambush. Not trying to prevent people from riding, but please be vigilant.

Also rode there this afternoon and removed a branch nicely wedged between the trees, rather deep into the bushes, far from the dirt road.

 

Luckily didn't see anybody else close by when we were there though.

 

Good luck with that broken finger, injuries on bicycles should only happen when not landing a stupid move

Disconcerting? I'm not convinced of the security of BRB. I sure won't go ride there on my own during the week?

Which route was this on? Did you mention it to the owners?

Ouch! Heal up soon! Was this on the barn's side or on the railway side? Please let the owners know (try speak to Dominic), he's the owner and very pro active as far as I know. I ride there often, but never go across the road if I'm alone

As a rule I dont go riding there in the week but its just soo conveniently close to my house.

 

The trap I hit was on the singletrack to the east of the river. It was set up right after a corner so it was a bit of a pucker up moment hehe.

 

e-mailed Dominic this morning but in all fairness I think that there is soo much singetrack they just cant police every bit in the week. Was more focussed on getting my finger to point the right way yesterday.
