This info might be useful to some. I was successfully able to machine in a lathe, a 10spd Microtech freehub to take an 11 spd cassette. I needed to take 2.2mm off the inner flange.

About to start cutting. Very close clearance between the chuck and the tool

I have done 130km over 2 rides with this so far, and no issues.

Nice.

Anyone know where i can have a freebody machined in Cape Town.

I want to take away from a DA freebody to make the cluster fit. This was a "special" freebody that Shimano made with and not all the clusters fit.

I want to take the ridge away all the way to the back.

BMC (also in Salt River) just machined my 10sp to 11sp. Seems to work a treat.
