Heading to Kasouga for December. I have Google quite a lot, but I can't seem to find any trails in the area. Any local mtb knowledge would be appreciated. I found a race route in bathurst, but no info on whether it's open to public riding....

Strava is your friend. check out their Segment explorer. Find segments in the area you're going to, and then click through on the dates of the guys showing in the leaderboard, and you have routes. It's normally pretty easy to tell if it's a road ride or mtb, but switch to satellite map view to make it easier.

got 2 or 3 routes near Margate that i've found this way for our december trip there :D

Used to spend lots of time in PA but not as of recent. No special trials so we always just hit the gravel district roads that lead inland. As previous post said, check Strava segment explorer.

No trails to speak of - good district road - Cycle Asylum guys have put on a race in the Bathurst area in the past, Sebumo Tude (halfway between PA and Kenton had a bit of a track but not sure if this has been maintained) As stated there are lots of routes on Strava

There are trails across the road from the Mpekweni Sun Resort, they were used for the Fish River Sun Stage Race.  Apparently there is even a floating bridge across one of the rivers.  Like I said, the guys at Cycle Assylum are extremely helpful and I am sure they can help.  We had the Eastern Cape Cross Country Champs there a few months ago and I rode some of the trails and it was good.

Awesome - can anyone ride there or is it private land?
