I just wanted to write a thank you to the guys from http://www.bicyclepower.co.za/ (CycleOps) in particlur to Mike and Dave.

 

My story with them started a month or two back when I wanted a PowerTap built into my Mavics.

 

They told me to bring the wheel in as some stock would be arriving soon.

 

I took my wheel in a few days later, but the stock had not arrived. Instead of sending me on my merry way, they told me to leave the wheel with them and gave me loan wheel, I offered to pay for my G3 unit in the mean time but they said not needed...

 

Stock took a little longer to arrive that anticipated, so called them up saying that it would be a bit better if I could have my racing wheel back for the 947 and DC, instead of telling me to come pick it up, they instead arranged another set of loan wheels, full carbon ones with a G3 meter built in!

 

I like them so much that at the 947 expo I told them I wanted to cancel my G3 wheel build and rather buy a set of the PowerTap wheels, they shook my hand and said that when I get back from DC they will have them for me, and that I could use the loan wheels till then... I again offered to pay for the wheels at the expo to secure them, and again they said to pay when I come collect.

 

Needless to say I went this week and my wheels were ready, paid and sorted.

 

What struck me as amazing was the "handshake" deals we made, and they kept their word at every point, this is rare these days.

 

So regardless of which powermeter is the way to go these days (this debate will rage on for a while), the people at BicyclePower are cool!
