Anyone doing the 30km mtb ride?

30km Trail Bike Ride
A different format this year. We have taken out all the jeep track and gravel road and replaced it with singletrack. Dont let the distance fool you this is the equivalent of a 55km ride. We start with a little hill and then it is straight into the Garden Route Trail Park. One water point

I would like to know how seeding is going to work, because if its just single track passing slower riders will be difficult? Any idea of the route profile?  I'm excited for this race cause I have just heard good things about the trails

Thanks

Think I'm just going to go and ride the other trails while everyone else is at the race and ride here when there isn't a race!

Great spot and always look forward to hitting them while in plett for some park fun. Should be more of these places about. If anywhere can nail a mass start on Single track the hopefully GRTP can.

I have a good feeling that there won't be seeding. Although all the riding will be on singletrack, there are numerous places where you will be able to overtake.

Unfortunately the technical sections will be on narrow switchbacks which would cause lengthy bottlenecks. If you are doing the 30km, rather enjoy the ride; the water points are well stocked and there are many natural pools to keep cool and have a lekker chilled experience.

I am def going to just enjoy the ride, but that still means not going super slow / taking a dip in the pools. When it comes to singletrack it is painfully frustrating to walk or ride behind someone that is really slow (especialy quality singletrack like GRTP). Hopefully the riders that know they are not the best on singletrack will start at the back.

Did all of the trails on Saturday in the heat.

Was quite a challenge for me, then again I am riding a more aggressive bike and unfit as hell.

Anyway, still feeling it and agree on the 55KM equivalent part!

Best trails I have ridden though, really lots of fun especially if you know how to hit the big stuff.
