Paulst12 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 My ENT says I have an inner ear viral infection may be the result of a systemic viral illness. He put me on Medrol 32mg and Vavirex 500 (2 pills 3 times a day) for an inner ear infection. I also underwent an MRI which came back clear. I have been on this medication for a week now however I am still experiencing constant dizziness and my eyes continue to flicker.I have been like that for 2 weeks now, and was hoping someone could shed some light on the timeline etc of getting over this.

FlandersZA Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 A friend of mine had labyrinthitis and she was DOWN for one week - as in she could barely get to the bathroom because of the dizziness. It took about 6 weeks before she was 100%. Going on her description, it sounds like something I never want to get.
rawbone Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 When I had it I was put on an anti-viral by the doc and given something for the vertigo - only took a couple of days to come right. Doc said it was a middle ear infection. Good luck, having it for a couple of days was bad enough!

Some people experience chronic symptoms. If symptoms persist, you may want to see a vestibular specialist.
