Did that mess with the grip shifting at all?

Must admit the sram grips was a bit disappointing, it was raining and they are way more slippery than my raceface grips on other bike.

Nope if anything the grooves in the gripshift made the righthand side a bit less slippery than the left. Even though sram says " frictionless shifting" its not a totally loose feel. They have the feel and effort to twist the barrel absolutely spoton.

Cool, seriously considering going the grip shifting route. Never ridden with them on the trails, only a short test ride but really enjoyed it!!

I only had gripshift on my old bikes, late ninety early 2000. Loved it then got rapid-fire trigger shifters on a bike and thought this is the new good.

Been on xt shifters for 4 years now and really love it but the gripshift is so refreshingly simple.

I would probably have bought the triggershifter xo1 but there was no stock and a limited offer so went with the gripshift with the idea to but shifters separately but one ride convinced me that it's not needed and actually considering changing my other bike as well now.

Also on the XT shifters for the last few years. They are great but I don't actually find them as super efficient as a lot of people say. Hence my thinking on moving to the grip shifshifting.

Great build btw....bike looks awesome!

Just out of interest, who charged you R8k for that wheelset??? Seem slightly excessive.

Also pity you missed Pyga's promotion late last year where they were selling framesets with reverb stealth and pike for R31k if memory serves me.

Hi, the wheels were custom built by hand, and the price included the xd drive attachment for xo1 which is over R1000 and brake rotors which accounts for another 1000+

Thr pyga deal that was on was for frame shock and fork and it's what I got but upgraded the shock thus 2g extra.

Beautiful bike, but for an alu machine, way over priced.

For the money you spent, I would much rather get a Specialized Stumpy FSR Expert Carbon EVO 650B.

Only problem with that, is that it wouldn't be a Pascoe then
