I dropped him so we assume my speed was about 42km/h. According to strava my speed was.....7,8km/h. What!!!! 2nd time for this sector strava has done this so really no miscalc on our side. There are no obstructions to clear gps signal. Any explainations?

Whenever I notice a "dodgy" activity on Strava, it's 99% of the time from a smartphone and not a from an actual GPS like Garmin, Polar, etc.

Ride with them together and see where the fault lies. Im almost certain its your phone...
