Im currently looking for a new bike, in the meantime my brother said i can use his bike while i look around and then just sell his bike for him when done as he no longer rides.

I am 185 cm and normally take a large, his bike is a scott spark 40 medium.

What are the actual size difference? And how will it affect me.

Also its a 26er and i usually ride 29.

Quick look at the website shows that you are almost in between. So I'd say it should be fine for a while. Might feel a bit cramped and might need a bit of a longer seatpost. As for the 26er, you will be amazed how much "snappier" it feels. :P

At 185 you are not in-between - you are a solid Large. I'm 179 and would take a Large too.

A bike that's too small will be bad for your back, knees, shoulders and neck.
