Hubbers, anyone know if there are any shops in South Africa that sell Schwalbe Rock Razors and Muddy/Magic Mary's in 29". Would like to support local if possible

Importers don't bring in the rock razor spoke to them this week. And they won't be in the near future either.

Try the guys at Evobikes. I got my 26" Rock Razor from them and I see they have 27.5 as well, maybe they can assist you with a 29" version.

I've always been a Conti fan and the Rock Razor was the first Schwalbe I tried out. I must say I am really impressed. I rolls really well, it has no issues with grip on loose climbs and braking grip is far better than I though it would be when you take the tread pattern into account. Cornering is great as well. The only issues I found was with mud, but then again I never expected it to be a good tire for muddy conditions. No punctures or sidewall issues so far. It is one of the best rear tires I have ever had. I highly recommend it.

What's the tire like?

Brilliant. Corners like a magic Mary (same side knobs) but rolls faster than a Racing Ralph on the straights. Just a little loose over the gnar when you're braking but then I like a loose back end.
