  1. Here ya go: https://www.pinned.co.za/dmr-v8-v12-replacement-pins.html
  2. Been riding with a POC Tectal for a while now, one of the best helmets I've owned. The quality is top notch and you get space pads with the helmet. On special at the moment: https://www.puremotionsports.co.za/product/tectal-2/
  3. From the pics it looks like the chain has been routed through the cage incorrectly.
  4. Yeah it does work, I'm running a 203mm rotor with a new lyrik using a 180mm adapter. Had to add a few spacers though as the rotor is 203 instead of 200.
  5. You can use the same pads.
  6. No problem with Evobikes. I've ordered from them many times with no issues.
  7. Rather not: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/175651-experience-with-crcs-move-from-dhl-to-skynet/?hl=skynet

  9. This might get a bit deep, but when I lost my cycling mojo (been MTBing for 20+ years) it was due to depression. Riding was my life, but depression made me not want to to ride anymore. So I'd say, his lost mojo is only a symptom, you need to find the problem. Take him out for a dop and have a chat. You might find out what the problem is.
  10. Thank you very much! Is it the same stuff as the 3M rubber mastic tape?
  11. That's why I added #necrothread to this thread.
  12. #necrothread But does anyone where to get 3m rubber mastic 2228 nowadays?
  13. Read this first regarding the milkit booster: https://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/article/milkit-tubeless-booster-recall-52431/ Similar products: Schwalbe Tire Booster: https://www.evobikes.co.za/schwalbe-tire-booster.html Giant Control Tank: https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/giant-control-tank?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIt4bi58uR3QIVV7nACh0nwQfPEAYYAiABEgKkv_D_BwE
  14. Cant you use a bleed nipple from a XT or SLX brake and and thread it in the recessed port? Just an idea. Not sure if the threads are the same though...
  15. Depends. Was the cassette still attached to the freehub? If so, then yes. It's normal. You pulled the freehub off. If the cassette came off the freehub without the use of tools, then no. It's not normal.

  17. No Pyga dealer in the West Rand, but Sprocket and Jack is your best bet.
  18. +1 for Nic Made decals for my fork and some other custom stuff, top quality. I'm sure he'll be able to assist with wheel decals.
  19. I'd say it depends on what you want from the bike... The Patrol has more up to date geo than the Bronson but might be a bit heavy. Test ride both if you can but get the Tranny (don't listen to me I'm being biased).
  20. Check that there is enough slack in the cable housing when the suspension gets a compressed. When there is no weight on the bike it might look like there is enough slack, but once the suspension gets compressed the cable and housing can pull tight causing odd shifting and cable tension issues. Usually a problem when cables and housings get installed on full suspension bikes where the cable routing goes underneath the bb. Let all the air out from the shock, compress the bike untill it bottoms out and check that the housing is not pulled tight against the bb or somewhere else on the frame. I hope this makes sense.
  21. Cool in that case carry on. Phheeww lucky...
  22. From the pics it doesn't look much like wear but more like some sort of discoloration. I've seen it before just not to that extend. When you run your finger over it, can you feel roughness or changes to the surface? I'd say continue with the service.
  23. According to the service manual yes you can remove spacers to get 120mm travel. However, with only 30mm stancions it's already a flexy fork and stretching it out will make it worse.
