Scott Scale 940 or Merida XT Edition

I am currently looking at getting new bike . Can someone advise why the scott is +-K5 more than the merida?

 

Is the Scott offering something more that I am missing?

I haven't looked at the specs of either bike yet, but my guess is that you pay extra money for the Scott name. The same goes for Specialized and the same with Cannondale. See if you can get a test ride on both bikes and base you decision on the smile on your face. Enjoy it!!
