Use it on my 1x10, not really needed with a NW chainring but keeps the chain out of the way. Very handy item if you have a pressfit BB and no mount for a chainguide. Quality product and not cheap, does not wear out quickly and this new one works in all directions to suit the chain movement through the gears.Note: this is designed as a chainguide NOT a tensioner.
