Morewood Shova

Is a Morewood Shova a good first Enduro bike?  I'm considering this one.

I have one. They are great! Seems like a good deal. Depending on the fork model.

If the large is the correct size for you, you will have a very nice time on that bike.

 

I only have one trail bike which I use for all my riding (trail / All Mountain/  "#Enduro™©®"  / XCM / XCO)

 

I have done a few marathons on mine including Attakwas and a few provincial XCO's as well.

 

I have two frames, a Morewood Shova and an Intense 5.5, and I switch between the two regularly, and replace bearings, service shock etc while I ride with the other frame.  This means that I am never without a rideable bike for more than two hours.

 

You will not be sorry if you get a Shova.

How tall are you?

 

Had a Shova before and it rocked anything from a 24hr event to a proper trail ride.

 

They just feel so damned good.

 

Only reason I sold was that the frame was a little too small for me. I am 1.78m and should have been on a large vs the medium I had.

I'm 1.87 and on a large. Bike seems too small but I climb comfortably with a 50mm stem and 730mm bars. The bike is very capable and well balanced. The rear does seem flexy though, but not detrimental to performance.

I'm 1.86, so it should fit pretty well.  I think I'll try organise to go see it this weekend.

The shova is awesome. Can't go wrong. Rode one for 6 years. It does it all.
