Hi Guys.

Can I get some advice on the Trek superfly 6 vs the Scott scale 950?

I cant any nice reviews on these bikes.

The superfly got a reba rockshock where as the scale got a fox fork .

Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for a good quality light hardtail with decent components.

Thank you .

Go for the Trek Superfly - in my opinion it has better spec. Also, the RS Reba is a super reliable fork, that is cheap to service and find parts for. The FOX fork on the Scott is rubbish.

The Trek seems to be the better thought out bike.

Thank you for the reply .

I quite like the trek , the colours and the general look of the bike.

How does the frames compare in general if you dont mind me asking.

I ride a Superfly 100AL, predecessor to the FS6, which is the soft tail version of what you are looking at.

Not much beats the quality of Trek bikes, I love the brand. Have heard of lots of Scotts with cracked chainstays although mainly on the Spark.

I've never owned a Trek, but complaints of broken/cracked Trek frames are few and far between.

Scott's are a different story, however.

If it were my money, I'd get the Trek.

Good mate of mine is on a Spark. He's a fly weight and maintains his bike very well. Cracked the chainstay 6 weeks ago, still waiting for a replacement.

I have a FS8 great bike fairly light and solid, the trek bike does with a lifetime warrantee on the frame. Depends what you want to use the bike for I have the soft-tail and being fairly heavy find it a comfortable ride and fairly robust.

In general both brands are premium brands and would suit most people well.
