Sore fingers/knuckles

Not sure where to post this but going to try here....

Been MTB'ng for about 3 years, regularly (2-3 times a week). I do more free riding AM/enduro type stuff to XC.

One thing that I suffer from is after a few hours of hardcore trail my fingers start paining, like in the knuckles and every vibration is 20 times worse! I struggle to even hold the handlebars at times. My mate told me it stops after your hands get used to it, but three years later and it continues...

I have tried foam grips, I now have top of the line Raceface grips and still same issue...

Could it be my grip/technique? I do one finger braking...

You should maybe consider seeing a occupational therapist or physio.  Is it also possible you holding the handlebars too tight for too long? Do you relax your grip when you not going over a techinical section.  I find i need to consciously tell myself to relax my grip often.

Do you get pins and needles?

Lose sensitivity in the fingers? Difficult to pull fingers in?

Maybe arm pump? ( Motorbike term - Not sure what in MTB)

But when I ride a long period especially where there a plenty downhills and technical terrain I find i get pins and needles etc.  Where as if it is flat road I wont as dont rely on holding bars.

Something I just live with. Found the fitter I am and more I ride the less I get it
