Slowone Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I saw someone deliberately throw his Gu sachet into the bushes, at the last Paarl race - I also wrote to the PPA about it and got no reply.We allowed to do this ..... lolAnd here i ride with a pocket full of empty GU sachets ... used tissues from Junior .. sweet papers in my pockets till the next water point to toss it in the bin..... I agree that Littering = DQ should be introduced... especially in the racing snakes groups ... Lower down i see the people tend to keep there trash .... (not always but in general)
Guest Smimby Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Wish I could understand why the some off the A-bunch (Aurecon especially) thought it is ok and sit / stand on their chatting IN the road just after the finish. There is TRAFFIC control in place, so the road it NOT closed. I calmly drove past, and NO I did not mind the few seconds delay in my journey, but rather the fact that you create a distraction and another motorist can have an accident as they now concentrate on YOU IN the road. Come on, you had PLENTY space to get our the road!

I did not mind being slowed by a few minutes/seconds...was more worried about the perception and potential danger. Unfortunately it was the Aurecon riders that were mostly IN the road, while there were others standing around. If TinyK= Kris then.....dude you were not in the wrong at all, did not even see you near the road. I gave a little hoot, hoot....and signaled to the riders IN the road to move off.....but they only waved back and smiled. So just to clear the air, I was not pissed off, just concerned for YOUR and other riders finishing safety.
