Campagnolo compatible cassette???

So a couple of years ago I bought a old school Colnago with Campagnolo 9spd parts.

As the parts started wearing out I had to replace them and soon had chainreaction cycles drop of a really nice carbon groupset for a deccent price.

As I mostly ride my mtb throughout the year the parts never really had to be replaced until this year.

So after some searching online i found these campag parts have almost doubled in price. Weaker rand to the pound etc.

My question now is.

Is it possible to find a campag compatible casette? Shimano or sram that will work with the campag shifting.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Not that I am aware of, it is a totally different freehub on Campagnolo, so it looks like you will have to drop a few bob on a new cassette or get a different back wheel, yet again a few bob. If not mistaken though, if you go with the new back wheel that is Shimano/Sram compatible, your shifters should still be ok with an adjustment here and there. there was a guy on here selling a second-hand cassette.

hope this helps

Hi

There are quite a few manufacturers that make Campag compatible cassettes, BBB, Miche, etc.

I'm sure they're available locally (CWC, Buycycle and other online retailers), but you can get them from CRC, Wiggle etc. for about £30 + postage.

You can always buy 10, or 11 speed and use your existing (9 spd) spacers. There have been a few 2nd hand on the HUB recently.
