  3. Hi Stevief, yep, well marked. You start and finish at the Hemal en Arrde Village, this is also where the bike shop is, where you get your permit. If not mistaken, you ride for free if your a PPA member. I have added a link for you. http://www.hermanusadventures.co.za/trails/

  8. I hope I can find the help I need :-) I have the Garmin Fenix5, very happy but don't know where to find other files. When I used the Polar, I could go see other peoples rides, anywhere in the world. If you liked it you could save it, add to my device then do the exact route. at this point I just want to add files around the Cape, more specifically MTB routes. Can someone please assist me. Thanks and have an awesome day
  9. Give Lionel a shout @Freewheel Cycology if your in the Claremont/Kenilworth area... Always helpful and gives great deals.
  10. Hay there Dissipline, Got the bike out the box, so all new components. After about 4/5 rides of a shortish distance, I had a jockey wheel fall out, and from what I've read, this is a regular occurrence. so maybe extra lock tight on those bolts. in terms of skipping gears, I also had this problem. I adjusted the barrel, I got top end shifting nice, and the bottom end shifting nice, but middle jumping like skippy the bush kangaroo... The problem seemed to be a slight bend in the hanger, a little fall or knock can send it out, I even got told that a bit of pedal force come send it out a little, so have a look from behind and see if it looks to hang at a slight angel. Good luck
  11. I downloaded mine yesterday with or without the Nissan banner... Very cool bonus
  12. Had an awesome day out there on Saturday, always a treat :-) I started in A batch and was at the front of the start shoot. When i seen a bunch of school kids built for speed and clearly wanting to give it horns, I moved my ass out the way and gave them there space. After last year, coming in at 4th place in the Masters and not knowing there was a podium, I came back this year wanting to have my own battle out there :-) I can happily say I made 2nd in Masters, but there was no Podium (such is life:-) ) So back to the race, or my race, there was twice when I heard the buzz of an E-Bike on some single track climb, and I made sure I created a gap as I'm not there to spoil anyones race, as they might of had a goal, just as I did. But the sad reality was that on the way down, they never returned the favor, this left me a little disappointed. Will I move over again, yes, but do feel that a bigger time gap needs to be applied. I personally feel that they should start further back, then by the time they get the chance to pass all the other riders, Im drinking beer and wine on the finish line
  13. Yep, the trails are stunning out there, Im hoping in a good shape after the rains we have had. I am going to get stuck into the 40KM.. that should give me enough time to sink a little grape juice after the ride
  14. this would normally happen in the mud and rain with old chain, called chain suck. with a new chain, are you sure you have the right speed chain for the amount of gears, that being a 12 speed chain will be a lot narrower than a 10 speed ..??
