GlockG4 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 The Deloitte marathon(42km) is this coming weekend in Pretoria, 1st March. Has anyone done this, I am looking to do it, but I have heard ALOT of horror stories about the difficulty. This is the last weekend for 2oceans qualifiers, the other one is 120km away? Should I do the deloitte or the other one(vaal marathon)?
The_black_stig Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Vaal marathon is a double-lapper. it's flat-ish but it does have a few incline to go through.I've not done the Deloitte marathon so I can't comment on that race.
Pulse Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I've done the Pretoria (Deloitte) marathon a couple of times. Not a very fast run at all, but good prep for 2 Oceans, if that is what you are looking for. If I recall, my times were usually about 10% slower than my normal marathon times. Hope it helps
