Desi Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 All this stealing of bikes and bike racks at races lately ... is it fellow cyclists 'upgrading'? I would think/HOPE not, but at the CT MTB race this weekend, there were no 'passers-by' or unrelated people hanging around. I sincerely hope we are not being robbed by the very people we are riding with!
The Bull Shark Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I already trained my family about stolen bikes after races. That is the one time we are distracted and the one time the thieves know that there will be good bikes at one location. I always keep my bike in sight after races until it is safe at home. Especially when the race is held close to Steelenbosch.
dirtypot Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I parked my bike and left it by itself after the race. I was nowhere near it...Maybe I should be more careful. Sorry to hear of your loss. I sincerely hope that it's not fellow racers doing this.
