Sluggish Rock Shox Reba Dual Air

Good day fellow hubbers

I recently aquired a Rock Shox Reba World cup (Black Box) with dual air from a fellow hubber. But I can not seem to get the fork working for me.

I currently have it set to to its full 120 mm travel, and pumped up both chambers to about 115 PSI, bit lower than the recommended 130-145 recommended pressure for my weigh in an attemp to get it more responsive, but sad t say, the 120mm SR Suntour shock I had in before performed way better.

I have also played around with my rebound adjust, but no avail..

The Shock was supposedly serviced before I bought it.

Can anyone maybe give me pointers as to what I am maybe doing wrong? Or how I can fix the issue?

Thanx in advance

Could be a few things - it could be bent, the damper oil may be too thick, the seller may have been talking poo about the service...

The only way you'll find out is by taking it apart.

Thanx Droo, been meaning to get to you with this fork, but am married to my job it seems. What will you charge me to service it and what will a service kit cost if I do it myself?

It took me a while to adapt to the dual air.  Before you strip it down try the following.  Deflate both air chambers.  Pump the -ve to about 50psi.  Then pump the +ve to the 115psi.  Check the pressure on the -ve (which will have increased) and adjust if necessary.  I find the recommended figures  on the fork leg to be confusing and most forks I service come in with a higher +ve to -ve pressure.
