Hi Everyone

 

Does anyone know where I can find the importers/ agents for the Smith Cycle helmets in South Africa?

I've seen the guys discuss the helmet on SuperCycling on Supersport where it was tested , so it must be in SA somewhere.

Those are so ugly, they look like the top art of the Predators mask..

I like it. It has a Star Wars rebels look to it. Would have looked into this if I was in market now.

not the best looking I agree - but just think how good the protection is....hey maybe it comes with a cool triangular targeting system too ;-)

​Just a heads up to make your sums carefully if you think of directly importing clothing, helmets and gloves.

 

$220 (USA cost) X 12,50 (exchange rate) = R2 750

 

$20 x 12,50 = R250 (shipping estimate)

 

Thus R2750 + 250 = R3000 (what it will cost you to get it here)

 

Then start adding this: R3000 + R1350 (45% duty on "clothing") = R4350

 

Then on top of everything: R4350 + R609 (14% VAT) = R4959

 

Also a good heads up for why it will be expensive from the local agent.
