Raleigh RC6000 vs Principia Evolution

I'm currently a mtb rider and have decided to give the road races/rides a go as every one else that I cycle with seems to have done

 

I've decided to go the second hand route to ease myself into it and have come across 2 bikes that are available in my area, the very popular RC6000 and a relatively unknown (to me that is) Principia Evolution, both for the same price and both with 105 groupset.

 

Can anyone help with a little bit of advice as to which bike would be the better valued bike and best suited to a newbie like me.

I'd say go for the Raleigh, bullet proof.

 

Just remember Raleigh sizes it's bikes differently. if the frame says 54cm(BB- seat post), its actually a 56cm (seat post to steerer tube).

Thanks, that would explain why the raleigh(51 cm) felt exactly the same as the Principia(54 cm).
