I am riding a Trek Fuel Ex 8 26er and recently had the rear shock redone by Omnico in Cape Town (I am in JHB). This is the first time I am riding the bike properly since I bought it 2nd hand. Problem is I get looooads of sag on my shock. I currently have it pumped to 250 PSI and the manual suggests 175 PSI for my weight (6ft2 105kg). Anyone got any experience with these rear shocks that can offer advice? I also feel zero notable difference with propedal on & off, but my main concern is i am getting way more than the suggested 20% initial sag...

It maybe that the damper needs to be serviced.  Do you know if they did an air sleeve service or the full damper service?  To check the damper you need to remove the air sleeve and then with the eyelet in the vice press the body onto the damper shaft.  You should feel a significant difference in the action when you press in with the pro pedal on.  If you bring it over I can check it for you.

I just got mine back from a damper service and there is a HUGE difference between before and after. I suspect that my Pro Pedal was shot when I got the bike as there was no difference between off and on. I just thought it was a gimmick. I lost my rebound a little while ago. Droo at Stoke Suspension did mine and there is a definite difference now when you flick the lever.

Setup wise I am 100kg and if I recall I am running around 25% sag on my RP2 fitted to a Mongoose Teocali Elite. Not sure what that equates to in PSi. I find that the manual is generally a guide to get you in the ballpark. The percentage sag is what you need to worry about.
