Pikey Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Need to give a huge thank you and big shout out to Chris at Cmc . Dude you went the extra mile as always, just so we could ride our bikes on Sunday . Went for a ride on Friday afternoon with a mate,we were both trying to sell our meta's for different reasons.I had buyer for mine and was holding bike since Tuesday ,as fate would have it that things changedand I honored my deal with my riding partner. So at 8pm on Friday evening the deal was done, but now we wanted to ride on Sunday. But we had one frameset & 2 full bikes and everything had to be swopped over before Saturday evening if we were to ride on Sunday morning. And the meta's have internal cable routings, Impossible task as I'm am technically challenged and not so much partner but has family commitments the whole Saturday. No problem I say let me send Chris an sms (9.00pm ) and see if we have any chance that he can strip and rebuild 2 bikes. He replies no problem drop them off after 8am and I'll make it happen. I push my luck even further and ask if he starts will he definitely finish or we will rather wait as we want to ride Sunday. Whatever it takes I will finish promise he says. Drop bikes and frameset off and he still has other bikes lined up for a Saturday service as well. Come 3 pm he is working on my bike when he hits a snag ,the rear brake hose was to short. After shooting down to house to discuss he comes up with a plan. But he hasn't even started on the other bike yet. Come 5pm riding buddy pitches up and we visit Chris as he has never used or met him and wants to see Chris's set up and meet him. We leave 20 min later and let him carry on,with tony doubting if we gonna be riding on Sunday. But come 7.30 pm on Saturday evening Chris calls me and says you can come and collect I've just finished. I immediately call buddy and tell him we on for Sunday. No ways dude that's awesome. Sunday morning 7am we out on the trail for 3 1/2 hrs, we had an absolutely blast and the bikes were perfect. A big thanks to Chris for giving up his whole Saturday just so we could ride for a few precious hours on Sunday morning. Service like this needs to supported ,he's passionate about what he does and nothing is ever to much trouble or to late. Big thumbs up Chris .
Attie Lourens Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 If this is how he treats all his customers, it will be worth the drive from the east rand.
trail - er - park Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Believe me when I say I was sceptical from the outset. I know of no business or individual in the sector that makes ... even less honours .... such commitments. Having met Chris on Saturday and witnessing the way he goes about his craft with calm confidence and complete confidence, I am thoroughly impressed. It was evident that this is his passion and that he takes pride in the quality of his work. No corners cut, no astronomical charges for service above and beyond .... just professionalism and competence. Chris exceeded every one of my expectations and deserves all of the success he achieves. Word of mouth is, in my view, the most powerful form of marketing and I trust that this endorsement will influence others to make use of Chris' exceptional services.
Pikey Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 Not the first time he has done a late night stint to get me riding on the wkd. And never charges extra for the midnight hrs. He's passionate and I think that's the difference.even colour coded the cable ends. Nice touch.
Attie Lourens Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 In that case. My bikes will be there for a service shortly.
