IDT or spinning bike

With the days getting shorter I am looking to some sort of indoor training

 

I have a Giant Indoor  trainer but the noblies on my MTB are not really suitable 

 

so am looking to

 

1) Buy a dedicated spinning bike 

 

2) Get a 2nd back wheel that I can put  a road 29r on and set up on trainer

 

3) Buy a Road bike that I can use for some road work and IDT 

 

Suggestions ?
