.... There is a race each year, only open to females, any male that rides are there un officially, basically just riding along, supporting the fairer gender,

can you remember which one this is?

Leverage Corporations Ladies MTB day - I did it a couple of years ago at Van Gaalens and it was great - so very civilised with champagne at finish and 3 course sit down lunch and then the "fines"  for coming first and showing off and coming last and causing delays etc.  Very fast flat course - no climbing which was amazing for me coming from KZN
