Knox & Dreyer celebrate Mother’s Day victories at Karkloof

Former race winner Max Knox returned to the top step of the podium of the 60km Sappi Karkloof Marathon on Sunday as he blitzed the rest of the powerful elite men’s field while mom of two Jeannie Dreyer added to her Mother’s Day celebrations when she notched up her second win in the past three years.

Agree. I saw Kevin there and felt for him. He was brilliant in his day but as it has been said the up coming youngsters are super strong. I think he has made a good choice to hang up the shoes. He will always be one of the most successful mtb athletes in the emerging sport.

Fantastic course. Very well organised event.

Great course but some sections were quite technical with little or no warning... that big drop coming out of the forest is a good example (in the middle of that "pump track" section). There were a few offs there. I love the Karkloof and am already longing to go back! Great event.
