Polar M400

Hey guys 

 

Looking at buying my significant other the new Polar M400 GPS watch, we like the look of the watch and I like the price.

 

I would like to find out if any body owns a Polar GPS watch,how is it? Would you recommend it?

 

I have watched a review and one of the cons of the watch was that you could not export your workouts, so you can't load your rides on any other apps like strava or endomondo. Is this true?

I have the M400 and I like it. Used to have the RCX5, but sold it when I got the V650.I can't use the V650 for spinning, so I got the M400 for that. I think the M400 is better than the RCX5.

 

Nice functions and reasonable price and you can wear it everyday. It has an activity tracker, so that's a nice function to have.

 

I use the M400 for spinning and other indoor activities and the V650 on the MTB.

 

I don't really care about Strava, so that's not a problem for me. I use the Polarflow App to upload all data from the M400 and V650 and it combines all data from the 2 devices.

 

It locks on to the GPS signal very quickly, so you don't need to stand around and wait for it.

I have a v800 which is the big brother and is essentially the same except for some additional features! It's a great watch and would definitely recommend it! Not sure what review you were looking at but you can export your training session and import into strava. It's a manual process unfortunately but hopefully there will be some integration in the future.

Manual is fine for me, I was just worried you were tied into only using the Polar App
