Fox DHX RC2 self service or LBS?

So as per the title, I'm wanting to service my rear shock.

What's the expected price for taking it to the LBS?

Ideally I'd like it gone over thoroughly! Like: http://www.ridefox.com/help.php?m=bike&id=192

So I'd prefer to do it myself, I like getting my hands dirty, buts sometimes convenience is worth the extra rands. Additionally where could I get a rebuild kit for it locally? No ebay please as it'll take too long to get here. Want to have it serviced by the following weekend. I can't imagine many shops stocking a rebuild kit?

Thanks!!

You'll have to reverse engineer a rebuild kit, Fox don't sell them to anyone other than their agents. Your LBS will send it to Omnico for the rebuild, they won't do it themselves.

We can do it for you, but we're in CT and you'll have to courier it to us.

If you're ok with doing it yourself, you'll have to track down the rebuild manual unless you know how to rebuild and bleed a piggyback shock. You'll also need a few shaft clamps and a couple of special tools.

It's a cool project if you're doing it just as a project, but if you're trying to save cash and / or time you're better off just sending it in.

I've no issue doing the rebuild myself, it looks fairly easy and i've done my own forks before.

But getting a hold of required rebuild kit sounds like more missions than it's worth.

It's more the time factor, I want it done before the Hakahana enduro 14th June.

EDIT: I see Omnico is also in CPT? So either way it has to be couriered. So might just send it to you :)
