Hey bobby, I cant say how the track compairs to the 3 towers as I have never done the race. Avalanche is a bit of a unique event though. You self seed on friday and generally just have fun. There are the competitive guys yes but generally its just a weekend of awesome riding and fun.

@noli, awesome will keep an eye out for you. I will be on my bright turquoise and pink nomad.

Am really looking forward to it I must be honest.

Am going "johnny no mates" this year as all my buds have other commitments so will be good to meet up with some new people while there.

Hell Yes!!! Pre-Booked my space back in December already. I've been trying to put it out of my mind since as it seemed ages away still... Now only just over a month to go and I can't wait!!! Such an epic weekend away with mates and riding awesome trails...

Last year was my first Avalanche and my first "Race" (I was slow as crap but I mean my first proper organised MTB event) and after that weekend I decided it'd be worth taking my riding more seriously by trying to get fitter, condition my body and build my riding skills as much as possible so that I could enjoy this years Avalanche (And all my riding) even more.

Got KZN Champs Enduro and DH this weekend and Hakahana Enduro #2 next week - Should be great training for the Mankele Avalanche...

First goal for this year is making it to Saturdays start in one piece instead of smashing my face on the wooden bridge of Stage1 on the Friday afternoon practice... Lol...

We've got a big crew going this year and the more the merrier so come say hi and grab a beer - I'll be on the blue Rocky Mountain Slayer...

Hahaha, Nice - I've got a terrible memory though so lets catch up at Haka next weekend so I can at least put a face to your name. Gonna be good.

Enjoy the wedding
