The response is impressive. ....... overwhelming..... Welcome, I am prepared to contribute. Let's see what you have after today. We can take it offline if you want. This bike would just be for commuting, right?

I am in the process of sourcing a medium for him. I am sure lights and a helmet will be welcome since he works as a vendor and very likely travels in the dark. Anyone?

Which parts do you still need? Stem? Wheels? I have a Ryder Front light I can donate. I Think it's the "Night Ryder"

I have a helmet available. Will also add a flashing rear light. Where must I send or deliver it

Thx Bud. I am still trying to tie the loose ends. It will be PTA. He works in De Wildt. I hope to sort out the bike today.

Short update:

Bike sourced and on-route from CPT. Again Eldron helped a lot. This guy gives service that is unsurpassed. He will kindly help to get the bike pre-serviced. He is donating a lot to this cause. I think it will take a bit of time (?a week). So we should have a helmet and rear light thanks to Broker and a front light from akneethling.

I am still hoping for a bike chain and lock.

This has just again confirmed how important transport is for some people.

I hope we can all make a donation to Build a Bike SA to help with situations just like this.
