LOSMEICHERIE Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 HI guys  The disable cyclist His name is Danford just read your messages he has tears in his eyes .he just cant wait to ride a proper bike.Â
TALUS Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Pleasure will you let me know. I can arrange delivery in PTA tomorrow afternoonThx Broker. Helmet received. Eldron has serviced the bike and inserted tyre liners. I will try to pick up this weekend. akneethling has sent lights by courier. I am harassing my cycling buddies for other loose ends (lock, saddle bag etc.) I also have a few tubes lying around.
TALUS Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Update: I will pick up the package donated by akneethling tomorrow. Planning to get to Eldron this weekend and pick up the bike. Will be contacting Welcome to try and arrange delivery this weekend. Watch this space for pics.
Skylark Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Please put slime in his tubes! The old kind not the new racing snake variety of slime like Tyre Juice etc. That old variety stuff lasts the life of the tube/tyre and works like a charm.
TALUS Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 I met with Eldron today. Shiny new 3x7 gripshift collected. New liners and rim tape inserted, bottle cage and bottle and fully serviced by Eldron. Nice light from akneethling installed. Rear light from Broker on the bike. I added a saddle bag with a toolkit. Tmrw at 15:00 delivery with a good helmet from Broker and a cable/lock, gloves and reflective kit. I don't know De Wildt at all but hoping to meet with Welcome and Danford there. Â Great respect to divernick and Build a Bike for doing this regularly - I believe it is really worthwhile.
