Howzit fellow Hubbers. Quick tech issue. Got these tires installed on 29r rims. In the last three days, I have got back to completely flat tires. 100ml Stan's in each. Last night tested them in water, and found small bubbles all round the sidewalls. Rim tape and valve not the cause of the leak. Do I put in another dose of Stans, or do I need to ride them as is, and hope the sealant gets to seal the porous rubber on the sidewall? Any tips? Tks in advance

You sure its the tyre leaking?

What about the rims or valve?

reason I ask is that Ive had no k@k with these tyres at all but then again they have gone onto UST wheels.

Definitely. I find it strange, as I have Renegade Swrks on SS, and wife has Ground Control's, and they both stayed up first time. These Fast Tracs drop in a couple of hours...

Some bleed and some don't.  It will seal eventually.  Just make sure the sealant is topped up again once it holds pressure.

That said, there is a huge difference between a UST tire and a tubeless ready tire.  The UST should seal no problems where as the TL ready might need a bit of sealant to seal the sidewalls.  Just to compare a Fastrack UST 29x2.0 weighs 875g and a TL ready weighs 580g.  I can only think that the weight goes into extra sidewall rubber to make it stronger and thus make it seal better too.

Wasn't aware there was that vast a weight difference. Thanks for the info. Hopefully after a long ride this weekend, and a bit of pumping, it will stay up.

Hey Rock. Normally after inflating I just spin the wheels a few times, and they hold. Just got home, so haven't checked if they stayed up today... If not, will try that in the morning. Tks
