  1. Finally. If you would like more pics, i'll gladly WhatsApp them through.
  2. Howzit Psycotics. Been off the bikes for a couple of years, as the knees didn't enjoy the attempted upgrades... Looking at offloading the bikes. What do you think it's worth? Cotic Simple Large / Mavic SLR wheels / RS Revelation Fork / SS & Geared attachments / Ritchey Trail Seatpost, Stem & Handlebar / Avid 9 Brakes / XT shifter & derailleur 1x10 / Spez Phenom saddle. Bike is in really good shape. Will post a current pic shortly.
  3. I'd put one of those stickers on my back window. Next to the 1.5m Pledge sticker that is there already. And i hate stickers on car windows....
  4. That was my point. If / when he gets identified, his version might / will probably be different to hers. That's all. I am super chuffed that a cyclist came to her aid. In this day and age, people tend to pull out the their phones to shoot video or take a selfie with the chaos in the background; so big respect to that fellow cyclist & gentleman for getting involved (regardless of what the lady said or did..)
  5. 1) it's legal and encouraged. Only open carry if you own a tapout t-shirt, as you will tapout when the time comes. No special license. 2) the law states that you can fight/shot/stab until the threat has been terminated. So no excessive force after the threat has stopped. (Not the law verbatim)
  6. I think you giving this oke way too much credit in the "thinking" dept. He isn't at your evolutionary level quite yet...
  7. WOW! 4! I went to a specialist yesterday who told me that the well known Doc who did my first scope on my left knee messed up royally, & it will have to be redone. Now i am not as peeved off, as i am concerned that this could be an ongoing issue... Is that why they call medicine a "practice" as opposed to a "science"...
  8. Still not sold on this story... Something just doesn't add up... Why would a woman on her own, in a car, land up in an altercation like this? 99.9% of men & or woman would have locked their car doors, and closed their windows, and let this psycho vent... I would have. Something set this oke off (i don't agree with his actions) but the motorist probably didn't realize how far she crept into his space. Whether it was hooting real close to him or passing close (motorists won't understand this). I see this attitude WITH MY WIFE. There is a cyclist in the road ahead, there might not even be a verge / yellow line for the cyclist, and she finds it a huge inconvenience to slow down.... When i ask her where the problem lies, she has to think about where the anger comes from.... I think it's due to perception & what people hear in the media/FB/etc. The cyclist is the enemy! In countries where cycling is welcomed, encourage & supported, you just dont get this shitty attitude from motorists. As a cyclist, motorcyclist & motorists on any given day, i think i can express an informed opinion, and state that the problem lies with motorists. Just because a small percentage of cyclists / motorcyclists / motorists are being a ****, don't drop to there level - wave them on, and hope they meet a painless end. For the okes in the west rand forums, bring the tar & feathers...
  9. The law is clear. The situation isn't, and is constantly changing. I suspect that the cyclist doesn't have much to fear from the law (based on the little info given). This isn't the Oscar P case, where the guy shot through a closed door, supossedly at an unidentified attacker. This was close quarters, 3 (or 2) against 1, and the assailants had the opportunity to back off too. I just don't know why he would have gone after the guys, and left the bike he was protecting, behind... Everything else adds up. Hope they drop the charges. It also goes to show the damage a knife can do, if you assaulted by one of these guys. It doesn't sound like the cyclist got multiple stabs in. A well placed jab, or slash, does irrepairable damage.
  10. Someone has serious skills with edged weapons... That's close and personal stuff. Glad the cyclist came away physically unscathed. Sadly, more and more, we are becoming a society of victims. There is just more & more unemployment, so the likelihood of these types of attacks will continue & increase. During the Ashburton Ballito race, it was very apparent that the youth in those 1000's of hills have very little prospects of a better life. Be safe people.
  11. Looks like a wet weekend ahead in Ballito.... Think I'll stay on the Highveld.
  12. Think that colour does nothing for that frame. Like that there is no bridge on the seatstays. The fork bumper also looks out of place, although necessary. The price looks @#$% crazy... And it ain't steel...
  13. Wow. Was hopeing this was just another internet scam. Cycled with him on a few occasions, and he was a pretty fit individual. Amazing how things change so quickly. RIP Gug's.
  14. I've just put in for 2 weeks leave, thanks to you Dusty.... Please post itinerary, if you have it on hand.
