Evening everyone.

Ive got a RS monarch XX ditted to my bike. Unlike many front forks I am struggling to find any guidelines in terms of pressure for my weight.

Does anyone on here perhaps have said pressure tables?

Thanks

Hi Meent

There isn't a "standard" pressure for a rear shock as this depends vastly on the suspension design and riding preference of the rider. What you want to achieve is the correct amount of sag which, depending again on your bike, is usually between 20 and 30%/. The new RS rear shocks have sag gradients on them to make this process pretty straight forward.

Hi.

I weigh about 68kg and the pressure on my RockShox Monarch XX is about 75-80psi. If I dont run it this low then it is almost as hard as a hardtail!

Is this normal, or is there something wrong with the rear shock?

The sag would be 25-30% at about 130psi, but then the shock would not move further than that, even under hard impacts. Thats why I am currently running the shock between 75-80psi.

Bleed the remote. Sounds like your lockout's not unlocking.
