ZTR Rapid to ZTR Crest, is there a big difference?

Greetings,

I have a momsen SL 929 (carbon) frame, custom build. Mostly XT components with SLX crank. Thomson seat post + XTR pedals are on the way. (Crazy 50% off sale on the XTR pedals, so why not!?).

Anyway, I am running a ZTR crest at the back and ZTR rapid in the front (massive rocks and potholes necessitated upgrading the back rim, twice actually   <_< )

So my question is this :

Will there be a noticeable difference upgrading the front wheel from a rapid to a crest rim?

Well the rapid an oem rim. I think that's the correct term? You can only get it on a pre built bike.I know there is a weight diff of about 100-150g or somewhere around there.

People always say upgrade wheels first as that is where you will feel the biggest difference, I was just wondering if that kind of difference would be at all noticeable.

My other option of course is to go for 2 x new ZTR Crest rims, in white.

Purely for aesthetics, but that would just feel wrong

Not sure about the difference in the ZTR wheels , but I upgraded the wheels on my bike .

Felt like a completely different bike for the first couple of rides .

Now I am used to it so feels no different now , but it is a HUGE benefit to have better wheels .

Well I think keep riding the current wheels until they get damaged, and then I would upgrade to the arch ex which are only slightly heavier than the crests but are a lot stronger.

edit: spelling
